Band Directory

Here is a quick directory of active local musicians who write their own music, create their own vibes, play their own shows – some within Windsor-Essex county limits and sometimes to cheers and laurels of ears from other far off cities. Most of these bands still reside in Windsor-Essex, some have chosen other residences to pursue their craft. But no matter the address, they are all a part of Windsor’s music scene and heritage.

These are all links to the musicians’ Facebook page. Once there, you will find many have musical soundbites you can sample, most will have dates for future appearance (in town and out of town), several with have links to more thorough websites and all will have photos of them fueling their passion on some form of stage.

Enjoy and cruise this magical highway. You don’t think Windsor has a good music scene? Spend an hour or so surfing these links and I guarantee you’ll find more than a few local artists will touch your soul and make you fall in love with music all over again.

If you are in a band and would like to be included, please leave a comment! But keep it polite. This is a big list that’s constantly changing.

  3. Tim says:

I’d just like to point out that the link for After Ashes brings you to an American Band with a similar name…

The actual myspace for the Windsor band is http://www.myspace.com/afterashes

  4. Crissi says:

This list is awesome! Just wanted to say that my URL is http://www.crissicochrane.com, if you might want for it to be in there. Thanks!

  5. J says:

  6. YNSFN's says:

    Hey There,

Great list indeed, but you’re missing out on a few local acts. Your Not So Friendly Neighbours is not on your list, neither is Ozone Crutch (though you reviewed our cd) but our old band Olympia is… and neither is Threat Level Midnight or Who Shot J.R.? – worthy selections for the vault. IMHO. Thanks again.

  7. YNSFN's says:

Oh yeah, what about Lazer Tubez??? Zap youself to the Zap Zone??? Instant Classic.

  8. This list is a good idea…we’d like to be added to this list….come and check out our website to have a listen, we are called Echo Steps and we’re from Windsor.

  9. ... says:

Hey, what about The Fresh Breath Band! local Windsor-Essex original rock / folk band.

  10. Julia Mercer says:

You forgot to add Jester to the list of former Windsor bands! They were an awesome band!

  11. Crawl says:

Musicians Tom Grondin & Scott Clark. Both from Windsor and played/playing in crawl. Both moved from Windsor to Toronto and Tom Grondin has since moved back to Windsor and commutes to play.

Band has been back together for just over a year and has no plans on stopping any time soon !!
